I've been suffering from a severe case of hives for the past week now. The itching pain keeps from sleeping and doing anything. But I am even more freaked out because i am reading in different sites that it could potentially last until the end of the pregnancy. Is that true? I am only 22 weeks along and still have a long way to go. My other question is I have some of the hive bumps on my bell and whenever I put an type of cream to moisturize it burn like hell...what am I to do to avoid getting those nasty stretch marks...so far I've only been putting calamine to sooth the itching pain which is drying my skin even more. I am so miserable and worried!!!! I won't take any benedryl or oral meds since they can potentially hurt my baby...so what am I to do and am i going to go through the remaining 18 weeks???? more

I'll be 12 weeks this coming week. When will I start feeling the baby move? Is it possible to feel it this month? Also, I realize that stretch marks are inevitable during pregnancy and can never be 100% avoided or removed but I was wondering if anyone used lotions or creams that helped reduce/prevent stretch marks? so, what's the deal? could they be avoided??? i've read so many articles about it... some say if you keep the skin hydrated regularly, (with cocoa butter or other lotions), you can actually avoid getting stretch marks during pregnancy; others say that no matter how much lotion you use, you can only hydrate the top layer of the skin, whereas the stretch marks happen on the middle layer of the skin, so basically, there is no way to avoid getting them.... what is your opinion? has anyone tried a specific lotion and seen good results?? when would you start putting the lotion on, i mean from what month on, and how often? more

I've had my navel pierced for about three years and it's completely healed and fine now. I'm starting to think about family planning and have read loads of horror stories about the hole causing terrible stretch marks. I'm 20 y/o, 5'2" 125lbs, 2 tattoos low on my tummy, a large one on my left side. I don't plan on having children for 5 or more years, but I've been wondering about this. My mother and sister do not have any stretch marks or saggy skin from their pregnancies. I have some faint marks on my hips from puberty, because it was like I woke up one morning with those hips. Several tattoo artists have told me the tattoos may need some touching up, but no real damage will be done - they will return [mostly] to normal post-preg. What are the chances I'm going to get crazy stretch marks that are extremely visible/deep with my genetics and current sm's? Any real ways to avoid them?
